You should block the number and report it to 7726 (just so you know, it’s not a police hotline). It’s also a good idea to drop an email to your MP asking two things: why can’t we report scam attempts straight to the police’s ‘action fraud’ system anymore? And why hasn’t the phone industry rolled out Caller ID Authentication tech to cut down on all these scam calls? If you get scam texts, forward them to 7726 too. For scam emails or screenshots of text scams, send them over to the police at ‘[email protected]’ so they can look into it.

Hey, how’s it going? I’m alright thanks, but who’s calling? I work with the housing repairs team about some issues you supposedly told your housing officer about. I don’t have a housing officer, I don’t rent my place. Oh, sorry about that, cheers. I thought I had the TPS blocking this sort of call, guess not. Blocking the number now.

Proper housing scam, that one. Honestly, felt like dealing with someone who’s a bit clueless. Straight away they hit me with this dodgy “hi... how you today?” Like they expected me to spill all my secrets. Didn’t bother sticking around to chat once I saw through it. What a waste of time.

I had to get in touch with my housing officer recently because something in my flat needed fixing. I made sure to report the problem to them so it can be sorted out soon. Fingers crossed they’ll get on top of it quickly.

Got a call from someone named “Mike” who spoke in a really robotic tone. Claimed to be ringing from the housing association about a complaint. Told him I didn’t have any complaints and then it just ended with a quick thanks and goodbye. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from 'Housing Scan' saying I’ve made a complaint about housing problems, which I never did. Bit weird and a bit worrying to be honest. Anyone else get something like this? Feels dodgy to me.

Looks like this number is going round quite a bit at the moment. The voice sounded really robotic, made me think it might be some sort of AI trying to catch keywords and reply back. Felt like a very persistent nuisance call, maybe even risky depending on what info they’re after. I didn’t stick around to see what they wanted exactly. Honestly, my block list is way longer now than my actual phone contacts!

Got a missed call from 03333394559 earlier. After looking at what others have said, it's clear this is just another scam. We don’t need a housing officer since we own our place already. Still, if they fancy popping over to help us fix up what we can't afford right now, we'd be happy to see them!

So this bloke from MIKE HOUSING REPAIR TEAM rings me up, saying they’re about to fix my repairs soon but need my personal details first. I ended up keeping him chatting for more than an hour, trying to convince him to buy a fancy funeral package with a diamond coffin, unicorns hauling a golden hearse, and goblins as pallbearers. Weirdly, he wasn’t interested at all and got proper rude. I told him how irritating it is getting all these spammy #### calls 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I received a call from an automated system pretending to be Mike, inquiring about some repairs in my home. After that, I was passed on to a chap who wouldn’t stop talking and insisted on discussing my housing situation, which, quite frankly, has already been handed over to the council due to the extensive delay-it’s all a bit of a lie, really. Save your breath; it’s not worth engaging with this sort of nonsense.

Got a call from some automated voice claiming to be from a Housing Association but when I asked which one, it wouldn’t say. I told it I’m actually a homeowner now, and the bot just thanked me and ended the call. Pretty quick and smart for a robot but feels really dodgy, I reckon it’s a scam, so watch out!

I received what seemed to be an automated message that just couldn’t stop itself from asking me if I’d notified them about any issues with damp or damage in my property. I kept responding with a straightforward "No!" Next thing I know, it's saying, "Hello, are you still there?" which kind of turned the tables, so I replied, "Are YOU there?" Before I knew it, the line went dead. Do you reckon this was some dodgy character masquerading as a Council official?
