Beware of this trick: Got a message saying HSBC sent a One Time Passcode 083621 for a 707.59GBP payment to AIRBNB with Ref: JL9210A. If you didn’t make this payment, they want you to ring their fraud team at 0333 339 1752. Don’t trust it, it’s a scam!

Got a text pretending to be from HSBC saying my one-time passcode was 818326 for a payment of £982.32 to Currys. Obviously, I didn’t make any purchase like that. If anyone else gets this, best to ring them straight away on 0333 339 1932 (or +44 333 339 1932 if you’re abroad) just in case it’s a scam or someone trying to use your details.

This was a total scam, someone acting like they were from HSBC. Don't reply to them and make sure you report it straight to HSBC.

My cousin got a message, like the one another user posted, telling them to call HSBC on 0333 339 1932 about a one-time code from Curry’s. It's definitely a scam - that same cousin fell for it just a couple of weeks ago. Always avoid calling any number that turns up in texts allegedly from your bank. The safest bet is to ring the number printed on your bank or credit card, or one you find straight from the official bank website or your bank statements.

Got a text the other day from someone saying they were from HSBC, but I’m pretty sure it was a scam. They asked for some personal info which seemed fishy, so I didn’t reply. Always better to check directly with the bank instead of trusting texts like that!

What a dodgy operation this is! I received a message that just doesn’t sit right. It says: “Your One-Time Passcode is 439294 for a transaction of 922.02GBP to CURRYS. If this wasn’t you, get in touch at once on 0333 339 1932 (+44 333 339 1932 if you're abroad).” Whatever you do, don’t give them a ring!

I just recieved a text that looked like it was from HSBC with a one-time code, plus the number 03333391932 to ring if you hadn't made the payment. It’s a total scam, so watch out. The message header was off too, missing a couple of letters - definitely worth double-checking before you trust it.

Totally a scam!! Got a message saying HSBC sent me a One Time Passcode 417293 for 652.02 GBP payment to AirBnB. It said if I didn’t make this transaction, call 0333 339 1932 or +44 333 339 1932 if abroad. The msg came from NOTIFY, so I knew straight away it wasn’t real HSBC for sure!
