Yesterday I got a text from some dodgy number pretending to be Santander, even though I don’t have an account with them, saying there’s a delivery waiting for me at Boots. First red flag right there. So, I checked with Boots, and they had no clue about any parcel, which was obviously sketchy. Then the message told me to ring a certain number to sort it out - another big red flag. Just a heads up, be careful!

I received a call purporting to be from a housing association, enquiring about various problems with a property that we had supposedly reported, like dampness and the like. Quite odd, really, as we've never resided in any council accommodation and actually own our home outright. It seems rather fishy, especially when they cut the line as soon as I mentioned we aren’t tenants. Definitely smells like a scam!

I receive daily calls from this number, but they never leave a message. Whenever I attempt to return the call, there's no response. It's quite vexing and feels rather intrusive!

I got a call from someone speaking with a thick asian accent and it was really hard to understand him. Had to ask him to say things over a few times. The only words I caught properly were “mobile phone”, which made me think it was probably a scam. They ended up hanging up after I asked them to repeat themselves the third time. So yeah, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.
