I got a message from a number saying it was TSB. I didn’t call back directly, instead rang the TSB fraud team. They confirmed the number wasn’t theirs and told me not to reply or ring them again.

Just like loads of others, I got a message saying something about my TSB account and a purchase at Argos. Problem is, I don’t even have a TSB account, so it’s pretty clear it’s a scam.

Got a message claiming to be from Nationwide and straight away they were asking for my customer ID. Something about it felt off, not really convincing at all!

My partner got a message from this number warning him about some strange activity on his Nationwide bank account. The text told him not to reply but instead ring the Nationwide fraud team using the number they gave. Seems a bit fishy to me.

Like loads of others I've seen on here, I got a message supposedly from TSB even though I’m not with them. It said if I hadn’t authorised a payment to Argos, I should call a certain number. Looks like a scam to me, so don’t bother ringing it. I can see how TSB online users could easily fall for this, it’s pretty convincing.

same here, got a message supposedly from tsb online payments saying an otp 710065 was generated, and that there was a payment authorisation to argos for £1250. the message asked me to ring a number if i hadn’t made the payment. problem is, i’ve never even had an account with tsb, so it’s clearly some scam. also, the texts came twice, from these numbers: 07576502868 and 07377802418. total rubbish.

i just got a text like that as well. figured it might be a scam plus calling the number probably costs a fortune. i don’t have an account with tsb anyway.

Got a text from this number warning about some strange activity on my Nationwide account. They asked me to ring up Nationwide fraud prevention directly and not to reply to the message.

Got a text claiming to be from TSB asking if I made a payment of £1250 to Argos. Thing is, I don't even have an account with TSB. I’m definitely not gonna ring that number back - sure it’s a rip-off ready to drain my wallet. I’ll be letting TSB know about this shady message straight away.
