I did a bit of digging into Apollo after they randomly invited me to an interview in Fareham. My career advisor reckoned it was a con, and a bunch of websites around say the same thing. So, I've gone ahead and pulled out of the interview now.

They rang me and left a really dodgy voicemail, no info about who they were or what they do. Then I got a text saying call Sam. Had a look at their website, it looks pretty sketchy. Tried googling the names of their top people, and some of them match totally different folks?? Def not gonna call them again, lucky I checked here first. Big thanks to whoever called from [###]

Yep, got a call from Apollo again. Ended up meeting one of their managers, got totally duped. What a complete waste! They’re asking for £4.5k and offer zero guarantees. Honestly, steer clear of them.

Got a call from Craig. Pretty much the same as what others have said. I got an email from them last week first. They say they're some kind of Executive Networking group, but honestly, it’s just a way to chase your cash. Jobs don’t come from these sorts of places, you’ve got to put the work in yourself. I’ve dealt with them before and they’re proper persistent, won’t give up hassle.

They actually charge the job hunter for their help!!! Supposedly helping to figure out what career matches your values, but they don’t promise any job at the end!!! Honestly, if you already know what you want, why bother with them? They’ll never land you a job. I thought about just messing about with them but sadly my time’s too valuable for that.

Had a chat with them today. The pitch was doable but honestly, I can’t see any benefit that LinkedIn doesn’t already offer. They’d earn more trust if they actually made calls to the firms instead of just messaging. Upfront fees? Feels like paying for nothing to me.

Stay away from these lot entirely. I've spent three decades in HR across various big international firms, and I never came across this company until they began pestering me with offers to help find a job. There are loads of proper recruitment agencies that’ll gladly accept your CV, chat about your career plans, and put in the effort to find you a position, all funded by the employer, not you.

I’ve gotten a few emails from this firm claiming they’ve reviewed my CV and want to chat about it, but then they ask me to send my CV again in the same message, which seemed odd. Now they’ve started texting me asking me to ring them. After seeing all this, there’s no way I’m dealing with them! Proper dodgy behaviour!!!

They claim some senior manager has looked at your CV and wants to chat about jobs that aren’t listed anywhere. They push for a face-to-face meeting instead of a phone call, probably so you’re more likely to cough up for their “career guidance” after making the trip. Really dodgy, stay well clear.

apolio recruitment grabbing numbers from job sites and cvs. honestly, who's responsible for them having your number and then nonstop pestering with random calls? when are the regulators going to step in and sort these pests out? giving advice about being professional to people actually looking for jobs shouldn't mean you have to pay a big chunk upfront. makes me wonder if they'd still ring if they only got paid when you actually got the job.
