I wrote a review some time back but just got a letter from them saying I’ve got a quarterly direct debit with them for my fisherpool dishwasher. I already told them I’ve got a fisherpool anyway, so feels like a total waste of their time! I never gave them any bank details to arrange this but I’ll still be checking with my bank just to be safe. Poor older people - it’s sad how many get scammed by these sorts of companies.

I got a phone call saying my washing machine cover was dropping to £4.99 a month for my Hotpoint washer. Problem is, I’ve never had washing machine cover nor do I own a Hotpoint. The caller asked for my bank details but didn’t want my card number or expiry. When I said I was busy shopping and would ring back later with details (which I obviously won’t), she got a bit abrupt. Then I was put through to a supervisor. These scammers are really nasty and have no shame in trying to trick people like this.

This lady claimed to be from Home Appliance and mentioned something about the warranty on my washing machine, which I supposedly pay £6.99 a month for, and that it was dropping to £4.99. She seemed like she was fishing for more details, but I just thanked her and said I was excited about paying less each month. My washing machine is actually over 20 years old and isn’t covered by any sort of insurance. The scary part is they had my correct name and address. Pretty obvious they’re scammers. Got a call on my landline about my D&G insurance going down and they gave me this number for customer service. Warning about Home Appliance Cover LTD! The company was set up in 2017 and is run by a bloke called Shyju Nadarajan SUDHAMONY, who's originally from India. They have no staff at all and reportedly only have around £21,000 in their account. They’ll happily take your payments each month but good luck getting any sort of claim through with them! Seriously, don’t hand over your bank info to these lot.

She asked me to come up with a password for when I ring their office - something simple for me to recall.
