Not long after, within about 10 minutes, I got a call from a bloke claiming to be from the credit company - something just felt off about it. I left it a day and then rang the garage back. He told me I'd been declined, even though I'd been told my credit looked alright and that they'd try another option which would cost me an extra £10 a month, meaning around £360 more over three years. I'm going to ring them again first thing tomorrow to see what’s really going on. I’ve got a bit of a sketchy past so I’m extra suspicious. Found the credit guy’s number on this site and it just confirms to me the whole thing was dodgy - like bait to reel people in.
