It was actually O2 calling me, not some dodgy scam. Even though my phone showed it was O2, I was a bit cautious but they checked my account to be sure. The call was about a special upgrade deal since I'd been on a SIM-only plan for quite some time. The person on the phone was really nice and didn't try to pressure me at all. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the offer they gave me.

Got a call claiming to be from O2, and it even showed up as O2 on my screen. On the 10th of April, I got a phone call from this number saying they were from O2. Then today, I received two more calls from 03330534771. When I rang O2 to check if these calls were legit, they told me they hadn’t made or tried to make any calls to me. Since they keep track of all their calls, either this is a scam or the caller is lying.

I can confirm this is legit, it’s really O2. They called me to fix my old contract and also explained how I might be able to get a refund for a plan I had cancelled.

Yeah, total scam alert. Someone called saying they were from O2 with some offer about my contract. When I asked them to send details through the post, they flat out refused - which is my go-to move when I’m suspicious.
