Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was with some debt help firm and that she got my info from something called 'Debt resolution Forum'. She tried to get me to agree to a payment arrangement. Something didn’t add up, so I looked up DRF online. Turned out they had a warning about scammers pretending to be them to steal personal info. Definitely a scam, so don’t hand over your details. There are real, trustworthy options for sorting out debt, but these crooks aren’t one of them. Just ignore and block them!

I got a missed call from this number, so I decided to ring back. Turns out, it was some sort of financial advice firm. The conversation didn’t really go anywhere though because I told them I’m actually a managing director at a financial services company, so I wasn’t interested in what they had to offer. They sounded like they were from abroad but were quite polite and seemed to get where I was coming from once I explained what I do.
