Picked up and could actually hear the chat going on between the “agent” and some unlucky bloke. Honestly, the lack of care for privacy is shocking. Didn’t get what the call was for so I just ended it and blocked the number straight away.

0333 305 6568 has called me about four or five times this week. Whenever I pick up, no one speaks, just heavy breathing on the other end. Bit creepy if you ask me. Feels like they might be testing which numbers get answered, maybe to sell the info on or just to annoy people. Either way, I’ve blocked the number now. I’m sure I’ll get another scam call tomorrow from some other number, adding to my growing list of blocked nuisances.

This is hands down the weirdest spam call I’ve ever got. I use my own phone number for work too, so I picked up like it was a proper work call. Then this person starts shouting something in a really quick Liverpool accent, and all I managed to hear was "butty". Proper strange situation.

This number rang me up saying they were from CMA Nationwide. They sounded pretty informed about my recent accident and told me my solicitor had actually dropped my claim because the other party wasn't cooperating. They offered to switch me to another legal team but the call suddenly ended. I felt suspicious and rang my insurance company, who told me they’d heard nothing about it and my solicitor is still handling my case as normal.

Why on earth would anyone want to work for a cold calling firm that does things like this? Sadly, if you pick up one of these calls, they get what they want. Even if they hang up straight away, they’ve confirmed your number is real and that you pick up your phone. That info can easily be sold to other firms. My tip - just ignore any calls from numbers you don’t know. If it’s important, they’ll leave you a message.

It’s weird, I had a crash a few years back (wasn’t my fault) and then these calls began. They stopped for a while. Then recently someone crashed into my car again and now the calls have started up once more. I can’t help but wonder if these callers are linked to the insurance firms? Feels like they’re connected.

Got a call from this number saying they were CMA Nationwide, some sort of third-party insurance. At first, I thought it was legit since they knew loads about a car accident I had last year, even had my reg details. They claimed the case was still open but my insurer said it’s all settled. When I asked them more about who they actually were, they just ended the call and I wasn’t able to ring back. Really sketchy and made me feel uneasy since they seemed to know way too much. Be cautious folks, this feels off to me.

Later, I got a text saying I’d got a voicemail, but there was nothing there when I checked. Very odd. My mate tried calling it back using 141 before her number, but it came up as the wrong number. Strange one!

They said they were from Nationwide accident repair and had some pretty accurate details which made me uneasy. Got a couple of calls from them. One time they claimed I was due compensation since it was a no-fault accident. When I asked about the accident they said I’d hit a wall! So, the wall caused it - guy insisted it wasn’t my fault!! On the last call, they seemed to know quite a bit but ended the call when I asked them to confirm my registration number. Seems like there might be a data breach in that company.
