I highly doubt that this number is authentic for HMRC. It seems far more likely they'd opt to send a formal letter rather than have a pre-recorded voice reaching out like that. The robotic voice was quite alarming, alleging I was involved in tax fraud and suggesting there was some sort of dubious claim linked to my name. It’s all rather suspicious, to say the least!
