Got a message on iMessage from "BARCLAYS" about a new device trying to register on my account at 11:02 on 15/12. It said if I didn't do it, I should ring 033 3303 4877 straight away. The text actually arrived around 16:45.

Got a couple of calls but didn’t pick up, then they sent a text asking me to verify a £189.99 payment through Santander. The thing is, I don’t even have an account there. Definitely a scam, stay clear!

Some bloke called Dave, sounded Asian, wanted to chat with my missus. He said he was from the FCA and that there was a £3000 refund I hadn’t claimed yet. Naturally, I played him along, dragging it out and told him to ring back the next day once I’d looked into it properly.

I got a call from this number 02081336707, which is supposedly linked to a government office. But when I answered, they never mentioned which department it was from. Feels like a total scam to me, very dodgy.

So I got a call from some bloke named Roy Morrison, had a thick Indian accent. He was going on about how HMRC said I owe £3,000. Thing is, Mel Stram MP, who’s the financial secretary to the treasury, has warned that HMRC never makes cold calls. Definitely looks like a scam to me, watch yourselves!

Got a call from a company called First Call Reclaim claiming I was due a £3000 refund from some bank overcharge. They said there’s a solicitor nearby and all I needed to do was buy a £150 Amazon gift card to cover tax owed to HMRC. After buying the card, they told me to ring 033333034877 to prove payment, then supposedly the solicitor would show up with the cheque within 30 minutes. Warning to everyone, this sounds like a scam so don’t fall for it!

Seems like a dodgy call pretending to be from the ministry of justice, probably trying to trick people with some fake ppi stuff.
