Since September 2016, my niece’s phone has been charged £9 every week by this company without us knowing why. It’s still happening now, and from what we’ve been told, “Three” can’t help us stop it. We have no idea how she ended up subscribing to them in the first place. When I call their number, I only get an answerphone directing me to some website, but the message is so unclear I can barely understand it. It’s frustrating this keeps going on. This really feels like a scam that’s tricking loads of people.

I just want to chime in here as well. I cover my daughter's mobile contract while she's at university, and only found out something was wrong after more than £300 had been withdrawn by this firm. Three haven't admitted any fault, which makes me think they're involved somehow. If they cared about their customers, they'd at least verify if we agreed to such charges. Fun4vid is definitely a dodgy scam, and it’s shocking that Three are just letting it slide without lifting a finger.

While I was still on the phone, I tried sorting things out by reaching out to 'fun4vids' three times. One bloke told me he’d mail a cheque to my place, but it’s been a few months now and nothing’s turned up. Honestly, it’s ridiculous because my phone bill keeps climbing every month, yet I’m not making any crazy expensive calls or anything.

Can someone tell me how to get them to stop charging me? This is driving me mad!

They just take your cash for no reason at all.

Yeah, I also noticed a £9 charge on my phone bill recently. It came from a Just Eat email, something about winning £250 worth of Just Eat vouchers and other prizes. They had some survey to fill out before you got a chance to spin a wheel or whatever. I did the survey and then got a text saying I’d confirmed a purchase... What?! No wheel or prize in sight! Total scam...
The charge showed up from a company named "Pay for it" on my 3 mobile bill. After reading other messages here, it's clear we're all getting ripped off.

I got hit with a £9 charge and have no clue what it’s for. Definitely feels like a rip-off.

I found an extra £54 on my phone bill from some random texts linked to vids4fun. I dropped them an email, but they claim I went through two subscription pages and gave my permission, which honestly I never did. So, I got in touch with Three, and they set up a call with the company. After some talking, they said they'd send me a refund cheque since I never actually downloaded anything. Fingers crossed it all works out in the end.

I ended up with an extra £54 on my phone bill due to some texts from vids4fun I never signed up for. I emailed them to sort it out, but they said I’d actually gone through two subscription pages and agreed, which I definitely don’t remember doing. Then I got in touch with Three, who arranged a conference call with them, and thankfully they’ve agreed to send me a cheque to refund the charge since I never downloaded any videos. Fingers crossed it all gets sorted soon.

I recently received a text saying: FreeMsg: You've subscribed to fun4vid.mobi using 03333003556. I must say, this is a total scam! I ended up shelling out nearly £100 before realising they were hitting my account for £9 each week without me knowing. Do yourself a favour and get in touch with your mobile network provider to flag this. They should reach out to fun4vid.mobi on your behalf to reclaim your hard-earned cash!

I experienced something similar when my network, Three, got in touch with fun4vids while I was still on the line. Suddenly, I noticed a £27 charge on my bank statement that I hadn’t been told about at all. If I hadn’t checked my account, I’d still be in the dark. I’m really annoyed and confused about how this even occurred. They promised to send me an email to sort out a refund but so far, zilch. This whole thing is just getting out of hand... defo not feeling pleased about it.

fun4vid.mobi is a total rip-off! I got charged nearly 100 quid today for something I never signed up to. I rang 3 about it, and they said they'd give me a refund. If they don't come through, I'm gonna have to take it to the cops... maybe even to court. Such a nightmare!

Over the past three weeks, I've had £9 taken from my account each week on the 13th, 20th, and 27th of September. I called Three and spoke to three different people, all saying the company is legit, but they promised to follow up tomorrow. If nothing changes, I'm seriously thinking of dumping my Three contract and getting a new number. This is just ridiculous - how is it allowed to keep happening? They're clearly conning people, and it's mad that the phone companies either can't or won’t do anything to stop it. Completely bonkers!

I got stung by fun4vids too, they took £27 from me. I got in touch with them, and they said they’d cancel it and sent me a refund cheque. Got the cheque on Saturday, but when I tried to cash it today, my bank refused it. It’s such a joke, honestly.

My husband’s phone keeps getting texts from this number and every week they’re taking £9 from our account without us knowing. We’ve now lost about £81! It’s crazy, really. I’m probably gonna have to change his mobile number just to get it to stop. Honestly, this kind of thing shouldn’t be legal. How can they keep doing this when we never signed up for any service?

Out of nowhere, I got a message saying I’d been signed up for some service! Before I even realised, £27 had already been taken from my phone bill. When I rang up to sort it out, they told me they’d give me a refund, but warned it might take 2-4 weeks to get the cheque through the post.

A mate sent me a link, and curiosity got the better of me-I gave it a click. Moments later, I received a text about a supposed £9 a week subscription fee, with instructions to text the number provided to halt it. I decided to ignore it, yet somehow, they managed to charge my account a couple of times at £9 each! I rang my network provider, who kindly connected me with the dubious company in question. They assured me they’d cancel future charges but then asked for loads of personal details in order to process a refund. Naturally, I was a bit hesitant and wary about sharing any more information, which ultimately meant I lost £18. Fingers crossed they won't hit me with further charges down the line. I should mention, though, that the customer service from Three was top-notch, yet I can't shake off this unsettling feeling about the whole situation with my provider. If you're in a similar pickle, I'd recommend giving your carrier a bell for assistance instead of engaging directly.

Mate sent me a link which I clicked on, then out of nowhere I got a text about some £9 per week fee and told to reply to stop it. I just ignored the message but they still took £9 twice via my network provider. I rang up Three and they connected me straight to the company. I told them to cancel any more fees but they wanted extra personal details to give me my money back. Was pretty wary of sharing any more info, ended up losing £18 and fingers crossed they don’t take anything else from me down the line.

On the weekend of 17th September 2016, I was busy catching up on the news via SkyNews on my phone when an intrusive pop-up appeared, demanding to know if I was over 18. It felt as if my device had been taken over, as I couldn't seem to dismiss the pesky box. I attempted the classic switch-off-and-on trick among other solutions, but to no avail. Before I knew it, I discovered a cheeky £9 charge for something called http://fun4vid.mobi/en/index/cc. I attempted to unsubscribe by texting 65055 with the word STOP, but my efforts were futile. I even tried reaching out via text to 03333003556, but received no reply. On 19th September, I reached out to my mobile provider, Three, seeking assistance. They made an effort to liaise with the company involved and informed me that my subscription might be terminated. They asked for my email address so they could forward it to their technical support team for a potential refund. Despite their efforts on 20th September to contact "Fun Videos," they were unable to get through. As a retired individual, I feel strongly that protections should be in place for vulnerable people like myself. Unfortunately, Three informed me that they cannot cancel my subscription; it is solely up to the premium service provider. I would really like to know what steps I can take to prevent such occurrences in the future.

Back on the weekend of September 17th, 2016, I found myself glued to Sky News whilst on my phone when an irritating pop-up suddenly appeared. It was asking me if I was over 18, and lo and behold, I couldn’t do a thing; it felt as if my phone had been taken over! The box would just not budge. I tried rebooting the phone and a few other tricks, but to no avail. Before I knew it, I had been billed £9 for some service linked to http://fun4vid.mobi/en/index/cc. I attempted to unsubscribe by messaging “STOP” to 65055, but that didn’t work either. I even reached out to them at 03333003556, but received no reply. On September 19th, I reached out to my mobile provider, Three, and they were quite helpful, attempting to get in touch with the rogue company for me. They told me there was a chance my subscription might be cancelled and requested my email address so the company could liaise with their tech support in order to process a refund. However, on the 20th, their efforts to connect with the so-called "Fun Videos" again went up in smoke. As a retired individual, I feel strongly that these sorts of practices are utterly outrageous and can be particularly harmful to those of us who are more vulnerable. Unfortunately, Three indicated that they couldn’t stop my subscription; only the premium service could do that. I am at my wit's end and may need to involve the authorities if this isn’t sorted swiftly. Furthermore, I’m eager to find a way to avoid falling victim to such scams in the future. Is there anything I can do to protect myself from similar situations down the line?

Back in September 2016, over the weekend to be exact, I was watching some news on SkyNews via my mobile when a strange pop-up appeared asking if I was over 18. It wouldn’t disappear no matter what I tried. I switched my phone off and on, but nothing worked. Then I realised I’d been charged £9 for subscribing to some service called http://fun4vid.mobi/en/index/cc. I texted 65055 with STOP but it didn’t do anything. Later, I messaged 03333003556 but got no reply. On the 19th, I got in touch with my provider, Three, who said they would reach out to the company for me. They said the subscription might be cancelled and asked for my email so the company could contact me for a refund. They tried again on the 20th to get hold of "Fun Videos" but no luck. Apparently, Three can’t cancel the subscription themselves since only the premium service provider can handle that.

I got a message from this number saying FreeMsg: "Thank you for subscribing to Fun4vid.mobi access for £9 a week until you text STOP to 65065." I tried texting STOP but nothing happened. The phone didn’t pick up either. I then reached out to my mobile provider, Three, who were quite helpful. They called Fun4vid.mobi themselves while I was on the line, and someone actually answered confirming the payment and my number. When I requested for my details to be removed and asked for a refund because I never signed up for this, the call was just dropped on me! Thankfully, Three has blocked the number on my account, so I won’t get any more unwanted charges. The agent at Three told me it’s better to contact your network provider straight away about dodgy calls instead of just googling for solutions. I’m not holding my breath about getting that £9 back though.

Just got a text from this number saying I’ve signed up to Fun4vid.mobi for £9 a week. It said if I want to stop it I should reply STOP to 65065. Anyone else had this? What’s the deal? The number it came from is 03333003556.

If you're stuck, just head over to fun4vid.mobi and try to sign in. Since you probably won’t have a password, click on “forgot password” and have it sent to your phone. Once you get it, log in and make sure you cancel the subscription straight away - that’s what I had to do. Also, I reported their 03333003556 number because it’s a bit dodgy. Oh, and watch out - texting STOP to 65065 doesn’t actually do anything. It’s totally useless.
