This number 0333 242 0427 keeps ringing me non stop. They claim to be from a housing association but I reckon it’s a scam. I’ve passed my information on to Citizens Advice, hopefully they can do something about these dodgy callers who keep switching numbers on me.

I've received numerous calls from this number. On one occasion, I picked up and was greeted by a recorded message stating that I had reached Mumbazi Agency, but apparently no one was on hand to assist me at that time. Quite frustrated, I chose to hang up and subsequently blocked the number.

Got a call from this number, and the person just blurted out asking who I was! I was like, you’re ringing me and got no clue who I am? I flipped it round and asked who they were. They said something about the council. So I asked which council exactly. Then I cheekily offered him some potatoes, a bike, or even an ashtray for sale… and just like that, he ended the call 😂

The more scams people report, the better chance the police have to keep track of these criminals trying to cheat us.

Received a call around 12:55 this afternoon from a woman who said she was with some sort of property upkeep firm. When I asked for the company's name, she couldn’t give me a straight answer. She had quite a heavy accent and her English wasn’t very good. Let’s just say I wasn’t impressed with what I told her. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I’ve left a couple of comments below on what steps you can take if you want to stop these overseas scammers from tricking vulnerable folks out of their cash and pestering the rest of us. It’s not going to be easy but I’ve made it a habit to flag scam texts and calls to the police database (I’ve bookmarked the site so it’s easy to find). Sadly, it’ll need loads of people to keep reporting before there’s any real change. Every day, tons of people post about scam calls here. You won’t see instant results but if no one bothers to do anything, these scams will just carry on.

got a clue who the tps were but this bloke from calcutta was proper persistent. he said my tps account was expired and asked me to verify my ‘customer number’ - something like 2 digits dash 2 digits dash 2 digits. i had a feeling it was dodgy, so i just messd about with him, feeding him loads of fake numbers and saying i hadn’t heard of tps before. kept him going for a while, just to see what he’d say next.
