03332420138 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03332420138 👆 is reported as a persistent scam operation posing as O2 representatives offering a 40% discount on bills. Callers often pressure recipients to provide verification codes sent via text messages, which are used to gain unauthorised access to accounts. Several victims reported the scammers having detailed personal information, including addresses and account data, suggesting prior data compromise. Calls often feature poor audio quality and accents from the Indian subcontinent. Attempts to verify discounts or offers with the genuine O2 show no legitimacy, and some victims had their passwords changed without consent. Recipients are strongly advised not to share any codes or personal details and to report suspicious calls to their provider and bank promptly.

It keeps calling me, but as soon as I pick up, they just disconnect.

Received a call purporting to be from O2, enticing me with a supposed 40% discount. They then requested a verification code from a text message that had landed on my phone just moments earlier. Definitely dodgy behaviour-sounds like scammers at work!

Don't bother picking up, it's just scammers.

Somebody called claiming to be from O2, saying I could get 40% off my bills until my contract finishes. Then they said they'd send me two texts and asked for the O2 code from the messages. Even though it’s clearly stated not to share the code with anyone, she kept insisting I tell her the code straight away before checking anything. Honestly, be very careful and don’t fall for it.

Beware of this mobile phone account takeover scam! They pretend to be from O2, telling you about a 40% discount. They'll mention you’ll get 2 texts containing a one-time code, which they then ask for - never share it with them. I've already flagged this up with O2. They usually can block the attempt, but you might want to change your password anyway - although dealing with O2’s customer service can be a real headache. The call sounds awful too, with loads of dropouts and the voices sound like they're from the Indian subcontinent.

I've got a habit of not picking up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, like 03332420138.

03332420138 called pretending to be from 02 claiming I could get 40% off my bill or a new phone as a reward for loyalty. They definitely had access to my 02 info and even managed to change my password. I rang 02 straight away to check and they confirmed it wasn’t them. Then I contacted Barclays fraud team and they told me the scammers had tried accessing my bank account too. Stay clear of this number, it’s not to be trusted!

They called me loads of times, spoke to different folks each time. They sounded like they had loads of my info from O2 - phone numbers, emails, even my address. One caller mentioned a weird floor number, 0091, and said their name was “Maha.” Afterwards, I found my password had been changed so I went ahead and updated everything. I also cancelled all my cards just to be safe. Despite hanging up right away, the calls keep coming. They keep saying they’re giving a “40% discount because of Covid to thank customers,” which feels pretty dodgy to me.

Got a call from someone pretending to be O2 saying they had a discount for me. They tried to send a text with a verification code but it never came through and then they just hung up. Seemed fishy to me.

Somebody said they were from O2 and spoke about giving a 40% discount. They asked if they could send me some verification texts but then suddenly just hung up without another word. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

I picked up and all I got was quiet. Could’ve just been a wrong number but it didn’t end the call on their side, so I had to hang up after a bit.
