This is definitely one of those "Double Up" scams. My caller ID showed 01513 759 830 but the phone displayed 03332 400 255. They claim to be Aqua Logic, but what a load of rubbish. They called me on the landline twice, once on 3 May around noon and again on 9 September just before 5 pm. I never answered either time as I wasn’t in. They’re proper scam artists. The 03332 number was taken down but I couldn’t get the 01513 blocked since it wasn’t the last number to call me. Avoid these dodgy calls!

They wanted to come over to my place to chat about cutting down water use and offer some tips on saving water (likely trying to sell some gadgets, even though they didn’t mention that). I said no thanks since I just got my most recent bill and I’m alright with how much I’m paying. They sounded quite polite and didn’t pressure me at all.

A really polite bloke called me from this number saying he was with Southern Water and was offering free water saving gadgets. I told him I was a bit suspicious since we get loads of scam calls. He told me to call the official Southern Water number to book a free appointment for a survey (about 30 minutes) along with some advice, and free devices if needed. He wasn’t pushy at all, and said the appointments could be done in the new year when they come to my area. Seems legit to me.

They first rang the house number but didn’t leave a voicemail, then they rang me on my mobile. Since our place is a terraced house with no downpipes, we said no thanks to their offer.

Got a call from 033 3240 0255 and right when the voicemail kicked in, they just dropped the call. Didn’t bother calling back or leaving any message. So how urgent was that supposed to be? Seems like it wasn’t important at all. Probably some annoying spam or even something dodgy. I’d suggest just blocking the number to be safe.

Somebody else already knew my name and where I live. They said they would ring me next week. I called Southern water myself and they told me it was legit. They want to send someone to check and help reduce my water use. But you don't have to agree if you don’t want to.
