Someone called me saying they were from a genuine company called Zest, which does home appliance insurance, and said they were doing a survey. I got another call earlier from a diff number also saying it was Zest, but when I checked with them, they said they didn’t know that number (I’ve blocked it now). I’ve just reached out to Zest about this latest call too. If Zest are really using this number, it’s backfiring because loads of people think it’s a scam. Just got a call from 03332317420 and it seemed really dodgy! I picked up and the person on the line used my full name, which made me a bit uneasy. She introduced herself and said she needed to ask me some questions. I asked her to say it again coz I didn’t catch it properly. She sounded like she had an Indian accent, but what she kept saying sounded like “cattery” or something odd like that, haha. So I just told her “No thanks” and ended the call.

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE INSURANCE RIP OFF Honestly, not even worth the trouble. They called it Fire Equipment insurance but it was just way overpriced. A few years ago they tried selling us Sky Insurance but we found it way too costly and decided to go with someone else. They also offered a washing machine warranty in 2001, and when renewal came up after three years (included in the purchase deal) the cost to renew was more than buying a brand new machine!

Looking at what others have said, the callers switch up which company they say they’re from depending on your insurance provider. Some people said they pretended to be from Domestic + General. When they call me, they say they’re with Home Guard Appliance. They keep ringing me all the time even though I told them I’m on the TPS and asked them to knock it off. They just don’t give a toss as long as they can make a bit of cash out of you.

Got a ring from this number earlier today. I didn't pick up but had a quick listen to the voicemail left behind. They mentioned something about the call not connecting properly, reassured it wasn’t urgent, and said they’d try again later. I just had a really aggressive call from them, claiming I own a brand new Sony TV we supposedly bought over Christmas, which isn’t even covered by any warranty anymore, and they were pushing me to upgrade it. Just got a call from this number claiming to be from Sky, saying my Sky box needs re-insurance. The funny thing is, we haven't had Sky for ages, about 4 years now and we're actually with Virgin. Even more bizarre is that like 5 mins before, I had a call from someone saying they were Domestic and General, saying my tumble dryer needed re-insuring - problem is, we don’t even have a tumble dryer! This company seems like scammers, they must have got people’s info and trying to trick you into giving bank details. Don’t trust them or hand out anything, just report these lot.
