I've been anxiously awaiting the results of my head scan, which is why I picked up the call from that unfamiliar number. I was quite frazzled, you see, and I foolishly trusted the caller when she claimed to be from my dentist's office. Upon reflection, I tried to dial back that number, but to no avail! Speaking of which, I'll be hitting the big 80 next year-it's just awful how some people can be so callous.

I've had this number ring me at least thrice now. Usually, I don't pick up unless it's someone I recognise, but on this rare occasion, I did answer. To my surprise, there was complete silence on the other end once I had the receiver to my ear. Quite odd, really!
