Got a call from someone saying they were from an insurance company for kitchen stuff, offering a 25% off if I added another appliance. They already had my name, address, and phone number. When they asked for my bank details, I said no and ended up blocking the number.

Received a call supposedly from a PDF regarding insurance for my kitchen gadgets. They had all my details-name, address, phone number-you name it. They tempted me with a 25% discount and requested my banking information. I turned them down, and just like that, the line went dead.

Got another call about home appliance insurance, claiming I’ve got an account that’s nearly up. Lucky for me, all our appliances are still covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. The bloke hung up on me as soon as I mentioned that. The government’s way too lenient with these scammers, they really need to crack down on this kind of stuff!

Got a call from them at 9:25 in the morning, but they mixed up my name and my address was off by like 300 metres. My place runs fully on electric so they completely messed it up. Honestly, I probably should’ve just kept pretending to see where it was going. I did one of those phone surveys a while ago, so it really makes you think they pass your number around after you do those.

A woman from PDF rang up saying my boiler cover needed renewing and since I hadn’t made any claims, the price would be lower. She knew my full name and address, and even asked me to verify the first three digits of my bank card, which she already stated. I told her we don’t have any boiler cover with them and refused to give any bank info; sounded like a SCAM to me.

Had a woman on the line, sounded like she was from around South Kent or maybe London. She said my name spot on but got the address slightly wrong by a few houses. Said she was ringing about boiler insurance. Told her it wasnt my place, and she just went 'Alright then' and ended the call. Seems like she’s been at it for a while, poor lass.

The person on the phone said my boiler insurance needed renewing and since I hadn’t made any claims, my monthly payment would go down starting January. I told them I already had cover through my home insurance, and he politely said he’d cancel things on his side. Seemed quite believable and the caller was actually quite polite, which is more than I can say for the lot who ring about kitchen appliance insurance. Still, definitely a scam in my view.

I received a call from a gentleman named Michael who specifically mentioned my name and wanted to have a chat about my washing machine, stating that it was covered under some type of insurance. He went on to mention a £66 yearly fee for a three-year policy. However, when I inquired about the name of the company, he abruptly ended the call. Honestly, it was probably for the best, as my washing machine is already insured through D and G in partnership with Hotpoint.

This lot are con artists pushing bogus appliance repair guarantees. They don't even have any proper website and got looked into for fraud by my father in law’s bank. Thankfully, the cash he lost was given back. But they still ring him up all the time trying to get more money, even after being told to take his info off their list. They target older folks and vulnerable people with mental health problems, which is awful.

This number has been ringing me non stop even tho I thought all those scam and telemarketers calls were blocked? I picked up once and could hear a bunch of noise like a call centre but then they hung up quick. After seeing what other people said here I just ignore it now. Still they keep ringing. It's really annoying.

Just let it ring, didn’t pick up and no voicemail left, probably some kinda scam going on.

Got a call today, they wanted to talk to me using my full name. The moment I asked who it was, they just ended the call straight away.

Someone rang my mam, saying her boiler insurance needed renewing. She ain’t got any insurance like that, but the woman sounded so sure she freaked out and ended up sharing her bank info. Don’t know the firm’s name at all. Tried calling back the number, but it just plays a conference call message then cuts out.

Such a frustrating rubbish scam call!

Got a call where the person already knew my name and address, then asked if my boiler was working alright. I was puzzled and asked who they were and why they’d ring me. They said it was about boiler cover. Thing is, I don’t have any boiler cover and have no interest, so I told her that and ended the call. Funny thing is, I could hear another woman in the background speaking to someone, asking for bank card info! Proper dodgy scam going on.

My phone rang but I didn’t pick up, and there was no voicemail left. I searched the number online and saw other people had similar experiences. Seems like it might be one of those insurance scams trying to get you to insure your TV. I think I might have done something like that before but can’t recall the company since I lost the documents. If it was legit, they should really send renewal stuff through the post so you can check it properly. After being caught out in the past, I’m not doing phone deals anymore.

I wasn’t in when this number rang my house at around 12:45 pm (I used 1471 to check). Cheers to everyone who shared their experiences earlier - now I’m definitely on my guard!

This number has rung me loads of times, it just keeps ringing for ages. When I finally pick up, no one talks, they just stay quiet and hang up right after I ask who's calling.

I've been getting calls from this number a few times now but I don't pick up if I don't recognise it. It rang my answerphone thrice but no one ever leaves a message. Quite annoying really.

My elderly mum keeps getting calls from 0333 and loads of other numbers, and they won’t stop ringing her phone. Thankfully, she usually doesn't answer, but it's so annoying they keep trying.

I saw a call from 03332128004 but didn't pick up, just let it ring off. The number looked kind of familiar even though I haven’t had calls from them recently. Turns out they're scammers targeting folks they think they'll trick. Honestly, they should be stopped from conning people, but these scammers don't care about anything so it feels like nothing will really stop them.

I got a call from this number earlier today, but as soon as I answered, they just dropped the call right away without saying a word.

Got a call asking for "Mrs", but there's just a Miss at this number. When I told them and asked for their name, they just hung up. The stuff shared on this site is really useful. I’ve had loads of calls today about boiler and appliance cover.

Today at 10.56am, I got a ring from 03332128004. A woman called Martha asked for me by name and then started chatting about boiler insurance. I cut her off and told her this was the third time she’s called me in under a week. I made it clear again that I don’t pay for the boiler as I rent the place and it’s my landlord’s job. I told her to get that through their thick heads and stop wasting both our time. I also warned them not to call me again or there’d be trouble. Sorted.

I’m 89 and struggles to hear properly, so I never caught his name or company. The caller sounded Irish and was asking about some last payment for a 6-year warranty on my washing machine. Honestly, I don’t even remember agreeing to any 6-year insurance plan. For around half a year now, he’s been calling me almost every week. Now he’s even threatening to send bailiffs if I don’t cough up. He refuses to send me any proof or paperwork unless I provide my bank or credit info first. It's got me frightened to pick up the phone these days.

Got a call even though my number’s on the do not call list. Didn’t expect that at all!

I picked up and there was nobody there, pretty sure it’s just the scammers again. Won’t be answering calls like that anymore.

This is the third call I’ve got this week claiming I’ve got some home cover I never signed up for - total SCAM!

Got a call yesterday from this number, they were trying to renew my TV cover, saying I’ve never claimed and offering a discount. Sounds like a total scam to me.
