I had the misfortune of receiving a rather unpleasant cold call concerning funeral arrangements. Surprisingly, I managed to keep my cool and informed the chap that my number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service. Normally, I'd be far less forgiving. He completely ignored my hint and pressed on with his pitch, not allowing me to bring the conversation to a close. Instead, he had the audacity to ask when would be a more suitable time for him to ring back. They've disregarded every rule regarding cold calling, save for the fact that it was a Sunday. I'm also planning to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner regarding their antics.
