I remember hearing about someone in the US who got a dodgy call from these scammers pretending to be cops looking into a murder. They went all out asking stuff like how they knew the person who died, said they needed to come take a statement, and even mentioned the number showed up loads on the victim's phone. They asked where the caller was between 8 and 10 pm the night before. Apparently, it scared off the scammers, cos no more calls came through after that. Might have to try that myself!

This bloke claimed he was from some sort of Energy scheme and wanted to check if my windows are good for saving energy. He had my address already, and when I asked where he got it from, he said some National Database. After I told him I wasn’t interested, he said they’d ring back and made a point about me answering (which I won’t). He also mentioned having loads of people in the area or something. Honestly, don’t trust them - I’ve blocked the number straight away.

I'm continuously receiving calls from a certain company that keeps claiming to be associated with various other companies. They now claim to be from a supposed test centre. When I asked what specific test they were referring to, since I hadn't given them my name, they mentioned that they couldn't discuss it with me. It irritates me that someone being so unclear, supposedly from a test centre, would contact me without specifying the purpose of the test. It's just plain annoying to repeatedly receive calls from the same number, but with different companies claiming to be calling. I suggest blocking their number once and for all. That's the end of it.

This number 03332122793 isn’t the only one that’s been a right pain. For two years, I got nonstop calls from Pakistan, all out of spite after I said no to their dodgy boiler replacement offer that they claimed was from the gov. I tried loads of ways to get it to stop but the phone companies were useless and couldn’t do a thing about these scammers. They’re proper criminals who nobody seems able to track down apart from knowing the country, and even their phone companies don’t seem to care much.

To my relief, I was greeted by an automated voice providing me with an option to opt out by pressing 1. So, I pressed the button and now let's wait and see if it actually works!

I usually get loads of cold calls and like most people, they really get on my nerves. But whenever I can, I act like I'm really interested in what they're selling. Sometimes I'll even set up a meeting. The address I give is actually an old run-down building just around the corner. These muppets have rung me up twice in the past few days. They say they're from the "Energy Care Centre." I'm on the TPS list, so this is really getting on my nerves. Every time they've called, it’s given me a weird feeling - definitely wouldn’t put any trust in them. If this number pops up on your phone, be careful and don’t believe a word they say. I reckon it’s some sort of scam.

They've rung me up 3 times this past week on my landline. Today I had the phone close by and answered it. The bloke asked for 'Mrs .' so I corrected him, saying I go by 'Ms'. Then he called me 'Miss', so I corrected him again and mentioned that it’s 2017 and getting a title right shouldn’t be so hard. After that, I caught the first couple seconds of the hold music from earlier and he just hung up. Not sure what he was trying to sell, but I reckon the other commenters are probs right - it’s some kind of scam.

She said it was from the energy care centre, so I asked why they were calling a number on the TPS register, cos I never mess with firms that ignore the rules. Then she tried saying I had to sign up to TPS every year, which is total rubbish. Told her she was talking rubbish, and then she just started yelling at me on the phone before hanging up. I got the exact same call today that someone else mentioned (also posted 27.9.17). I picked up, and could hear a woman chatting to someone else, sounded like a call centre. Then they just hung up. When I redialled 1471, the number showed as ‘03332122793’. Definitely feels like a scam, more likely a recorded message than a random coincidence that two people had the same thing happen. I won’t be calling that number back. If they keep ringing, I’m gonna report it to the police for harassment.

Yesterday, 26th September 2017, I was working from home on a mechanical clock project when my phone rang. I answered straight away and heard a woman talking to someone, sounded like one of those call centres. Then the bloody woman just hung up on me! Why even call in the first place? I used 1471 to get the number and called back, hoping it wasn't a premium rate. A recorded message said to press 1 to opt out of conference calls, so I did. Apparently, the number’s from Schwedt/Oder in Germany, but the woman spoke English, which seemed odd.

A man called me around 10:25am on Thursday 14th September. He had an Indian or Pakistani accent and asked for me by name. He started talking about the national grid, but I quickly reprimanded him and demanded that he remove my name and number from his contact list. To my surprise, when I tried to block the number (03332122793) on my phone system, I discovered that I had already blocked it! I was baffled as to how he was still able to get through to me. As a TPS (Telephone Preference Service) member, I am frustrated to receive numerous cold calls every week. It's both upsetting and irritating, especially those automated messages featuring a British woman rambling about boilers. As a result, I have sent an email expressing my concerns to my MP.

Got a call about half past twelve today. A woman said she was with the "Energy Efficiency Organisation" and wanted to do an energy test on my doors and windows. She kept saying she wasn’t trying to sell anything, just setting up a check according to some government rules from 2005. Sounds like another dodgy scam to me, watch out!

The number they gave to return the call was 03332122793. It’s pretty clear this was some kind of scam with a threat thrown in. I just ignored it. 03332122793 called my house in north wales at about 12:10 pm on tuesday, 30 august. the call was super annoying and a real pain. some bloke with a really bad foreign accent was going on about an energy scam. the goverment really needs to deal with these scammers. bt and all the other phone companies should step up and do something serious. loads of these phone scammers are dodgy. we've now blocked this number on our phone system. despite being on the tps list, we still get hassled nearly every day by these dumb cold-callers. very frustrating.

The people running this cold call centre really need to teach their staff about the Telephone Preference Service - it’s meant to stop these annoying calls! The guy I spoke to was shockingly rude, even telling me I should buy some BT blocker instead of relying on the TPS. He claimed he was calling from Bolton, but the call definitely came from a computerised system, not a local Bolton number. I swear he was chuckling at me, you could hear it in his tone.
