They said they were from the "energy care centre," but when I looked online it’s a totally different number and seems to be about boilers and stuff like boiler efficiency. The guy on the phone was fairly polite, even asked "how are you today", but I doubt he honestly cared. I asked what the call was about and he said it was regarding replacing windows older than 10 years, which mine definitely are. Right then I told him to remove me from their call list, no interest whatsoever!

I didn’t catch the company name since I didn’t bother asking. They were looking for someone called Sharon Carr, but that’s not me. Over the last 5 years, loads of different companies have rang wanting her - I’m guessing she’s got some debts. Now I’m stuck getting calls about it. Best advice, just don’t answer.

Got a call from this number today, 3rd April 2018, at around 2:16pm and then again at 3:27pm. I answered both times but only stayed on the line for about 10 seconds before hearing a woman’s recorded message saying I was in a queue and would be connected to the next free agent. In just one day, I got called three times from this number. I ignored the calls and my phone marked it as possible spam, saying it might be some kind of telemarketing. Whenever I get calls from unknown numbers, I always look them up here, and after seeing all the feedback, I decided to block it. Big thanks to everyone who shared their experience!

so this muppet calls me up, right? i told him i wanted loft insulation and some new windows. but when he comes over for the quote, i'm gonna tell him i changed my mind and then accuse him of assault. then i'll give him a right proper smack in the chops. ha!

As soon as the conversation veered into the realm of energy efficiency, I made it clear that I wasn't keen on the topic. This seemed to irritate the young lady on the other end, who responded rather brusquely, insisting that I didn’t truly understand my own disinterest. I explained that I was at my workplace and this call wasn't coming at a good time for me, but instead of taking my hint, she abruptly hung up. I do my best to remain courteous and politely decline, but I must admit, I find it rather off-putting to be challenged in that way. In hindsight, I perhaps should have just ended the call right from the outset!

If you manage to track down where this number belongs, give me a shout. I’m proper fed up with these dodgy calls and wouldn't mind teaching the person behind it a lesson. It’s high time someone stood up to these scamming nuisances!
