2 yearsGot a call from a number I didn’t know. I usually don’t pick up on those, and this one definitely seemed a bit sketchy.2 yearsI received a rather suspicious phone call today from someone purporting to be affiliated with OVO Energy, and they seemed to have a fair amount of my personal information. They were aggressively trying to sell me a comprehensive boiler cover package, which frankly seemed too good to be true. They even rattled off my direct debit amount and its source, which was disconcerting. When I requested they send me the direct debit mandate via email, they suddenly backtracked and claimed they were unable to take any money from me! That really threw up some red flags, so I decided to terminate the call. Immediately after, I rang up OVO Energy to inquire about a fraud department to report this unsettling incident, but unfortunately, I had no luck. Just a heads up to everyone, stay vigilant!OVO Energy2 yearsFor about the last month, this number has been ringing our home phone twice daily at around half past twelve and half past four. I’ve not bothered to pick up because the number looks suspicious.2 yearsThey kept ringing but just cut off as soon as I picked up. I’ve ended up blocking the number now.2 yearsA couple of callers kept ringing me, asking for my OVO details and tried to quiz me on security questions. I flipped it and said because they phoned me, they needed to prove who they were first. They weren’t happy about that and got a bit narky. Then, out of the blue, they switched to pushing a smart meter. I said the person who owns the house won’t have one fitted. After that, I just ended the call and blocked the number. Still, they rang back no less than 17 times after that!2 yearsKeeps calling non stop, really annoying.2 yearsIt’s certainly an energy firm, if memory serves me right, I was convinced it was OVO. I mentioned that I wasn’t keen on their offerings, but lo and behold, they rang me the very next day, along with three additional calls! I've had enough now and taken the step to block their number.2 yearsOn 18/01/2024, I got a call from this number on my landline but no voicemail was left. I just figured it was probably a scam.3 yearsI got a call from this number but missed it, so I looked it up and found out from here it’s an Ovo scam. When they rang back today, I was prepared since I already knew what was going on. Being an Ovo user myself, I asked the guy to confirm my tariff and customer ref number. Of course, he claimed he couldn’t give me that info without more personal details and then started going on about some partner company. I even told him I’d checked the number and it’s listed as a scam on this site. Ended up wasting about 6 minutes of his time.3 yearsSome sort of call centre ringed me up asking about my OVO energy account, which I don't even have. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.3 yearsI had to cut the call short because I was working, but shortly after I got a voicemail alert. The message was just silence with loads of background noise that reminded me of a busy call centre. Seems like the automated system assumed I picked up and the person on the other end was waiting for me to say something. Not sure who it was or what they were after, and they haven’t tried ringing me again since.3 yearsThey keep ringing me non stop. I told them to remove my number but they just don’t stop calling. I even blocked one number and then a different but similar number started buzzing my phone again. Proper annoying!3 yearsHad a pretty strange experience here - I rang Ovo and booked a callback for the following week. When I got a ring from this number, it was definitely the same lady I’d spoken to before, and she even recalled the reason I’d called. We went ahead and sorted out my energy bills together. But after a couple of weeks, I still hadn’t got any confirmation on the switch from Ovo. I contacted their team and they said that number wasn’t theirs and might be a scam. So far, nothing bad has come from it, but it’s left me pretty puzzled.OVO3 yearsThis number keeps ringing me but when I try to call it back it never connects.3 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were with OVO Energy. They only wanted to do a verbal agreement and refused to send any details by email. Felt dodgy to me, so I ended the call straight away.OVO Energy3 yearsThey've just rung me up once more, that's the fourth time now. I already told them I'm not interested and asked them to take me off their marketing lists and stop contacting me altogether. Obviously, they haven't done that, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number.3 yearsGot a call from some energy company trying to convince me to switch for a "better deal". Proper annoying all day! 😡😡😡3 yearsSome guy kept saying "hello" over and over and kept asking "can you hear me?" quite annoying really.3 yearsReceived a call from this number and it feels like a total scam. They only make outgoing calls and don’t seem to pick up when you try calling back. If it were a legitimate company, like OVO or something similar, you’d expect to hear a recorded message when you return the call, guiding you to the right department. Best to block these lot, they’re definitely up to no good!OVO3 yearsIt's utterly infuriating!
