Got a text supposedly from Santander with details, then got a call saying it was from the bank, but turns out it was a scam. Bank had warned me about this beforehand!

Someone rang me pretending to be from Santander, saying they were moving money to a secure account and setting up insurance to protect it during the transfer. They also claimed my SIM card had been hacked and said they'd arrange for a specialist to call me and explain how to remove a virus from my phone. I ended the call and then phoned Santander myself to check, and as I suspected, it was a total scam. They even had you double-check their phone number on Santander’s official website. They're quite convincing, but luckily, I didn't fall for it.

They said my account had been hacked and that they had to freeze it and move my money, sounded pretty real at first!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Santander. They had my address, postcode, and even referenced a recent purchase I'd made on my card. They were suggesting I should cancel my card and offered to send me a new one, even asking if I wished to keep my current PIN. Sensing something was off, I decided to hang up and block the number before it progressed any further.

The call showed up as from Santander, but it was obviously a scam. They were pushing me to move my money into some supposedly “secure” account. Definitely dodgy.

Total scam alert! They’re masquerading as Santander bank, which is rather dodgy if you ask me. They even trick you into verifying their number by directing you to a website that looks like it belongs to Santander. I gave the bank a ring, and they assured me that number is not theirs and it's all a con. They kept rambling on about transactions at the post office and emails from Royal Mail, so that might just be part of the ruse. Stay vigilant, folks!

Seems like a dodgy number, appears to be linked to Santander Bank following a scam text from Royal Mail. Best to steer clear!

I've just had a call from this number and I have a strong feeling it was a spoof of one of the official Santander contacts. The caller claimed there was a problem with my credit card, but I ended the conversation and got in touch with my bank directly. They assured me they hadn't reached out to me at all.
