Right after I got 3 texts saying not to share a code with anyone from 3 different numbers. Definitely not expecting this. I’m not going to get in touch with them.

Just found a pin reminder from Barclaycard pushed through my letterbox sayin it’s for a new card, but I don’t have any cards with them at all. The number on the back was one of those 0333 ones, so I looked it up and ended up on this site. Then I double checked on the official Barclaycard website, got their fraud contact, and reportd it straight away. Never give away your info!

Got a text from this number about a delivery from Autotrader, then they called saying they were from Barclaycard. They even used my name and said they were looking into a transaction with Autotrader. Told them I hadn’t done any. Then they said maybe my card’s been stolen. I ended the call straight away as I had the card right here with me! Definitely trying to scam for card info. Watch out!

Just like the previous case, my other half got a message about some dodgy activity on her PayPal and a payment to AutoTrader. Then they rang from this number a few minutes ago, saying there’d been a £100 hike on a direct debit to an O2 account. They said they’d send a link for her to log in. Yeah, no chance. I hung up straight away and they’ve tried calling back twice but we didn’t pick up. Complete scam, don’t fall for it.

I got a call from this number saying they were Barclays. They even sent me a text from what looked like Barclays’ actual number. Turns out it was a scam. The caller said someone tried to make two payments from my account but that they’d stopped it. They asked me to confirm my identity, which I did, then told me to open my mobile banking and share the activation code. Don’t ever do that! I gave it to them, and all of a sudden my account got hacked and locked. They’re pretty slick, I usually spot these scams easy, but they had loads of my details and the Barclays number looked legit. Later, my phone buzzed with a text that looked like it was from Barclaycard, asking me to reply 'Y' or 'N' to confirm a £3500 transaction. I said 'N', but the caller then told me I should reply 'Y' because it was to offset the fraudulent charge. Complete con, pretending to be from Barclays fraud team saying my details had been altered and asking me to confirm the right info so they can fix it. Just cut the call straight away, they’re only after your info. If you’re worried, it’s much safer to ring the actual fraud department yourself.

A lady called claiming to be from Barclays Fraud Dept and said there was odd activity on my account that needed checking. She wanted me to verify what transactions were mine and which weren’t. I figured I’d humour her for a bit, and she asked me to open my banking app and get the pinsentry code to tell her. That’s when I ended the call and rang the genuine customer service straight away to let them know about the scam.
