Somebody pretending to be from Vodaphone called my brother’s phone, saying we’d moved to pay as you go since he’d died. He was a roofer working for himself. When she asked for the company name, I told her my brother had passed and there was no need for a contract, the phone was now pay as you go. Instead of expressing sympathy, she just kept pushing with “are you self employed or do you have a business?” No condolences at all, just straight up trying to make a sale. I was absolutely stunned.

Trying to get a phone contract from Companies House info, and it's the same daft lot who just have the bare minimum for a business deal. If anyone working at these rubbish firms actually enjoys getting shouted at, good luck to them. Just let me track down the MD and I’ll make sure everyone in the UK knows about it - maybe pay him a little visit as a bit of payback.

Some bloke rang up saying he could sort me out with a cheaper business mobile plan and just wouldn’t take no for an answer. In the end, I just hung up on him.

No message on the answerphone. When I tried the number I got an automated reply saying that this number isn’t taking calls right now. These telemarketers shouldn’t be allowed to use numbers like this to bother and try to sell to people. Feels like BT is letting the scammers get away with it.

Got a call from Sure Communications trying to sell me a new mobile plan. They used really outdated info linked to my number to try and get my personal details.

I didn’t answer the call as I was looking it up here first. Looks like it’s about phone deals, which I’m not interested in, so I’ll just block the number.

I got a call at 09:48 on 5th May 2021, but I didn’t pick up. After going through these reviews, and since I don’t have a full mobile contract just a sim-only plan, I reckon it could be someone from a mobile contract company trying to get in touch. I’m based in Sheffield.

Got a call from this number again, second time in a few weeks. The bloke said he was from Go Connect and tried to sell me a better Vodafone deal. When they rang before, they pushed me to switch to O2, saying it was somehow part of Vodafone and had better signal where I live in Leeds. Total scammers!!!

Got a call from this number about ten minutes back, saying they were from Vodafone and wanted to pitch me a better offer. They asked loads of questions that only Vodafone staff would know, but clearly didn’t. Then they kept pushing me towards switching to 02 because supposedly their coverage was better around here. Then came the classic "let me check with my manager" line - yeah, right. Ended the call straight away - total scam, no doubt.

I would advise against picking up. This number keeps ringing me, claiming to be from "Go-Connect," and no matter how many times I block them, they just pop up again within a day or so with different digits. It's utterly infuriating!

Some bloke called himself my EE account manager, saying he could help save me some cash. But then he started asking loads of questions that surely he should already know if he was really from EE. When I mentioned it, he said it's because of data protection rules or something that stops him seeing all my info. He was pretty pushy and didn’t accept me saying no. After reading other reviews here, it looks like they might get you a good phone deal but do it by pretending they’re actually from EE, which feels really dodgy.

They wouldn't take no for an answer. I spent 15 minutes trying to explain and they just kept going. The best thing they said was "I totally get that." Honestly, if you've got spare time, fine, otherwise better to just not pick up.

Got a call from Go Connect who claimed they could help me save some cash, but I wasn’t convinced at all. The bloke kept saying “PERFECT” after every little thing I said, which really got on my nerves. When he mentioned needing to check with his boss, I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. With all the dodgy scams these days, I’m really wary of answering any cold calls, so I mostly just block them to avoid any more hassle.

GoConnect were way too aggressive for me. They expected me to sign everything straight away, using my phone to check emails and sign stuff I couldn't really understand. If they'd taken a bit more time, I probably wouldn't have ended the call. 03332008531

Received a call from someone who said they were linked to my mobile network. They mentioned that I was on a list for a potential upgrade. Interestingly, they were aware of who I’m with, yet had no idea about the specifics of my contract. The chap on the other end was quite insistent, but abruptly ended the conversation once he figured he wasn’t going to get anywhere. Quite rude, if you ask me!
