I received a call from this number and, regrettably, I picked up like a numpty.

I got a rather alarming text earlier today. It said that a NEW iPHONE 12 had just accessed my account on the 22nd of May at 8:03 PM. If this wasn’t me, it implored me to ring them right away on 0333 339 7420. To make matters worse, they wanted to know my name, date of birth, the various accounts I hold, and the balances in each of those accounts. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Purporting to be a representative from a governmental body, this caller suggested they were offering assistance with grants aimed at minimising one’s carbon emissions.
