Just got a message about a credit card scam. It said, "Congrats! Your American Express Card application was successful! Your card will arrive soon. If you didn't apply, ring 0333 444 0594 straight away." Was tempted to ring and find out how the scam actually works, but then saw the fine print saying calls might cost anywhere between 3p and 60p a minute depending on your phone provider, so decided to give it a miss.

I got a call from a woman speaking with a really strong Indian accent, saying she was from o2 and could give me a 40% discount on my bill. I told her to send me an email with the info so I could check if it was legit. Instead, she just kept repeating the same lines from her script. After asking three times for the email, she just hung up on me.
