I got a call from this number saying something about claiming PPI, and they told me to press 5 if I wanted to talk about it. I think if you do press that, it might link you through a high-rate number that could cost a lot, maybe even connecting you abroad. Proper dodgy if you ask me!

I keep getting calls about supposed refunds from various companies. I've never been in an accident, so I'm baffled how they believe they’ve already sorted out some compensation for me - all they want now is my signature and bank info to send me a cheque, but the amount changes every time. Also, I’ve already claimed my PPI, so I have no idea how they reckon they’ve done it again on my behalf. Of course, they say it’s the same deal - just my signature and bank details needed. They’re also always trying to sell me life insurance or other things I’m not interested in. I’ve asked them repeatedly to take me off their list, but they promise to do so then call back again shortly after. Trying to ignore their calls doesn’t help because they just keep ringing non-stop.
