I had a rather curious phone call from a gent whose name sounded a tad like Pedro. He claimed to be reaching out because Debenhams had flagged me for supposedly owing £161.41 on a credit card that I’ve never even held. Quite baffling! He was keen to gather my date of birth and postcode, promising to touch base with Debenhams and send me some documents to prove I’d agreed to said debt-though that would apparently take a good three weeks. He instructed me to ring back on 0800 375797 once the paperwork arrived. Very peculiar, to say the least! Barbara Roper ([email protected])

I've received a couple of calls from this number; one came in earlier today, and the other just now this evening. Surely there must be some regulations they're flouting?
