I’ve been getting calls and texts from this number on and off the last few weeks. The weird thing is, they keep using a different name. I just block and ignore them, definitely looks like a scam.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. Didn’t pick up and they didn’t leave a voicemail either!

I got a letter from this company named CARS claiming I owe them some money, but I don’t remember owing anything like that. The letter doesn’t even say who I’m supposed to owe, just demands I cough up £48.00. They really should be put to an end!

03331363349 is claiming to be from CARS debt collectors for Lloyds car insurance. I got the same message from 01256831464, which my phone marked as a likely scam and blocked. They want you to complete a form with your bank details and state an amount. This is just the start - they’ll end up scamming you badly. Stay alert!

Total ripoff, definitely an insurance con!

Got a letter saying I owed money to Axa Insurance, where I had a pension that closed like 10 years back. The letter and envelope had different addresses, they used a name I never use for official stuff, the emails looked dodgy, and they only take debit cards which don’t really protect your account. Definitely going to report it to the police fraud squad.

debt collectors SERIOUSLY DONT IGNORE Make sure you verify with the firm they say they’re collecting for about the debt. In my case, I changed my car insurer, covid was over so no more extensions or delays. But somehow I got hit with an admin fee I’d never been told about or asked to pay, and now it’s been passed on as a debt???? Esure apparently put a hold on non urgent stuff but then didn’t notify customers before sending details to the collection agency for 'unpaid' charges. Absolutely disgraceful!

debt recovery firm DON'T JUST LET IT BE Make sure you contact the actual company they say they’re collecting for about any outstanding payments. In my case, with changing car cover, insurance told me they weren’t accepting any late payments due to covid anymore. But somehow an admin fee I never knew about or got told to pay got sent over as if it’s an owed debt???? Esure decided to pause anything not urgent but didn’t bother reaching out to customers first before handing over info to this firm over an unpaid sum. Absolutely crazy!

My daughter's phone got a text saying she owed some cash to CARS creditlink account recovery solutions, supposedly from Three. Trouble is, Three has no clue who they are. Then I got a text too, and today (28/1/20) a letter showed up from CARS. These guys have been reported already. Total scam artists, absolute nightmare.
