I didn't get to pick up the phone, so I tried ringing them back. It went to a message saying, "You’ve reached the redress scheme experts. Unfortunately, we’re closed at the moment. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Please give us a ring during that time."

Ignore this number, it didn’t show up as suspicious or spam, but it definitely was. The voice, which sounded either AI or a recorded message, started by saying my name and then asking if I could hear it properly. After that, it launched into some rubbish about car finance or money owed. I told the caller to stop messing about and, jokingly, asked for a donut recipe while it just kept droning on with loads of obvious scam nonsense. There was no real person at the other end, just a bot. Put it straight on BLOCK!
