From what others have said, I’m pretty sure that’s right.2 monthsI just got a message saying a new direct debit was set up in my name, but I never authorised anything like that! Really worryin if someone’s trying to mess with my bank details. Gonna keep an eye on my statements now, just in case. Has this happened to anyone else?2 monthsLike someone else here, I got an email supposedly from Nationwide saying a Direct Debit was set up in my name. It told me to ring this number (0333 054 0084) if I hadn’t authorised it. But that’s not a Nationwide contact, and the email didn’t come from any official Nationwide address either - the sender’s email was something odd like [email protected]. Clearly, they want you to call so they can trick you into giving away personal details under the guise of security questions. Seriously, don’t ring that number!NationwideDirect Debit2 monthsI've had a couple of dodgy emails claiming to be from Nationwide, saying they had arranged a direct debit of £2000 from my bank account. They told me to ring a number if I hadn't given the go-ahead. The email address looked really sketchy - something like [email protected] - so clearly not legit. Seriously, don’t bother clicking any links or calling the number!Nationwide2 monthsGot a call claiming I’d set up a direct debit with Nationwide, but it was a total scam. Be careful!Bristol Islamic Centre2 monthsGot a message saying it was from Nationwide about my Selfridges card being blocked and asking me to ring them.
