SCAM warning - Never share any codes with these people! They claimed to be from Virgin and O2, told me to ignore the first text saying not to share the 6-digit code, then asked for the code from a second message 🙃 I asked straight up which company they were really from, and they kept saying O2 and Virgin. I told them I’m not even a customer with either! I called it out as a scam and told them they should be embarrassed. The guy sounded offended and when I asked for my name, he just hung up. Then he rang back and repeated the same nonsense again!!!

Had a call from someone claiming to be from 02, saying they’d joined up with Virgin. They told me 4G was being switched off and I needed to move to 5G, so they wanted to replace my SIM. Then they sent me a text asking for a code. Don’t give them that code - they’re just trying to scam you and get all your details. Never share any code with callers like that!

***SCAM ALERT, STAY CLEAR*** Got a call from a bloke with a weird accent saying he wanted to "upgrade my sim card to the new 5g one," which didn’t make sense since my phone and sim already support 5g. I pretended to go along with it for a bit, but then he started explaining how to do the "upgrade." He warned me I might get calls from people pretending to be O2, and that I should just hang up on them. I called him out, saying he was the scammer here, and he quickly ended the call.

They dropped a voicemail but spoke in a language I couldn’t understand, so I haven’t got a clue who it might be.
