Got a call from someone saying they were with EE. I shared about how much my bill usually is, then asked them to confirm my postcode for security. As soon as I did, they just cut the call straight away. Pretty sure it was a vishing scam.

Someone rang up claiming they could sort us out with a better EE deal. We nearly believed them and ended up handing over our bank and personal info. While on the phone, we got sent a 6-digit code via email, which we thought was dodgy at first. Turned out it was a genuine email from EE for creating a My EE profile. Later, EE told us these fraudsters had actually used our info to make a real My EE account and tried to switch our SIM to an eSIM. Had we given one more 4-digit PIN, they could’ve stolen our number and even got into our bank account. Proper close call!

This is exactly the kinda scam that’s getting about. Make sure you’ve told the police about it, you can send the call info by texting 7726. If you want more advice, the National Cyber Security Centre has a great page on phishing scams at https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/collection/phishing-scams

Some bloke called claiming he was from EE. I asked him if he really was, then he should already have my phone details right? He just said he’s from the sales team and had this “exclusive” deal for me. Offered an iPhone 16 for £18 a month or something. I told him I wasn’t about to hand over any banking details until I knew for sure who he was, and asked him to email me to confirm he’s with EE. He said I’d get one “later”. I insisted on an email straight away to prove it. Then he just told me #### to get off the phone. Sneaky, lying idiots.

Got a call saying they were from O2, offering to upgrade my plan and give me a shiny new S25 Ultra for £5 less! Turns out it was just some dodgy scam from an Indian guy. Proper annoying.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from Asda, telling me my contract with them was about to end. He offered me a deal that sounded almost too good to be true and wanted me to pay for three months upfront to renew. I told him I'd need to check first, and he promised to text me to prove he was from O2, which he said worked with Asda. He did send a message, but I said I’d ring back later. When I phoned Asda myself, they told me they never do unsolicited calls like that - turns out it was a scam.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from EE offering to upgrade my contract, but I don't even have one with them. I was busy at work so I couldn’t chat. He asked when I’d be free, but I just hung up and told him I wasn’t interested. Anyway, I blocked the number and reported it.

Both 03330506433 and +443330506433 keep ringing me. It's clearly a spam call, probably from an Indian call centre, pretending they're from EE. Just told them to jog on. Best to block and not bother answering +443330506433.
