Watch out for insurance fraud! I got this email and text pretending to be from "Markerstudy Insurance Services", which I’m actually insured with. Even though I’ve not been in any accident or anything, the message looked so legit I felt I had to ring Markerstudy directly using the phone number from their official site (never use the one in the suspicious email or text!) just to double check everything was okay with my policy. Honestly, it’s one of the slickest phishing attempts I’ve come across - be really careful and don’t get caught out!

I got a letter, a voicemail, and a text all telling me to ring a number about some accident my car supposedly got into nearby on a certain day, with my reg mentioned too. It seemed legit at first, so I rang my insurer, but they hadn’t heard anything. Definitely a scam, and I’m usually pretty clued up but nearly got caught out. The bit that tipped me off was the wording “we have been notified by third party” - missing the ‘a’ there made me double guess it. Honestly, be careful, it’s sneaky how real it looks!

Watch out for scammers! Don’t give them any details at all. When they say there’s been an accident, ask exactly where it supposedly happened. They’ll often dodge the question, saying it’s because of privacy rules. You can just tell them you won’t share any info either, for the same privacy reasons!
