I received a rather dubious letter that claimed I’d won something in the FIFA online lottery, and lo and behold, there was a contact number included. Naturally, it went straight into the recycling bin! I've never taken part in any lottery, whether online or otherwise, so it felt like quite the con.

I've come across this number linked to fraudulent lottery schemes. After doing some digging with an online service, I managed to pinpoint the provider and the individuals behind this number. They took prompt action and shut down the account on 20 July 2017.

Interestingly, another mobile number mentioned in the same scam letter, which is still active as of that date, belongs to Vodafone. I've already reached out to them through their online fraud reporting system to alert them.
