Received a message prompting me to verify an online transaction amounting to £4180 with Halifax. The text requested a response of "Y" or to ring a specific number. I don’t even bank with Halifax - definitely a scam!

Received a curious message inquiring if I: "consent to the following Halifax transaction of £3180.00. Kindly respond with Y for Yes or ring us at 03330124793."

Given that I haven't got three grand sitting in my account and I've never been a Halifax customer, this is nothing but a load of rubbish!

Hello there! Just wanted to mention that I've flagged this situation to Action Fraud and the Information Commissioner's Office, as it constitutes a violation of data protection laws rather than being merely a 'scam'.

Beware of deceitful behaviour - there’s a customer who’s trying to acquire items with someone else’s stolen credit card details. They present themselves with a rather polished and convincing manner. Under no circumstances should you dispatch or sell anything to this individual.

This morning, I received a message stating that a sum of £999.00 had been charged to my card for an Apple Store purchase, urging me to ring the fraud department immediately on a provided number. Strikingly, the reference number matched one used in a previous scam. I promptly took to the internet to verify the fraud hotline for Natwest, which turned out to be completely different from the dubious number I had been given. I decided against calling anyone.
Interestingly, these con artists have attempted to reach me in the past, claiming that my card had been used for a payment to a Mrs Something in Glasgow. When I denied the accusation, the chap on the other end had the audacity to ask for my personal information linked to my card. I firmly told him to leave me be and ended the call. I later contacted Natwest to report this incident, and they assured me it wasn't from their end.

I've had a similar experience where I received a text claiming I attempted to buy something from the Apple online store for a whopping £999 with the reference ap2873026. It prompted me to ring a certain number. When I contacted my bank, Natwest, they confirmed they never sent that message. They advised me to get in touch with their scam team at 08000 289237. So, whatever you do, steer clear of calling the number mentioned in that text!

Earlier today, I received a rather alarming text from NatWest indicating that my debit card had been charged a whopping £999.00 at Apple Online Store 21052121, with the reference number AP2873026. The message urged me to contact their Fraud Prevention team on 0330124793 without delay, which I promptly did. However, it was only when they instructed me to have my online banking details ready, PIN included, that I suddenly remembered NatWest had explicitly mentioned never requesting such sensitive information. This set off alarm bells, leading me to discover this site... and lo and behold! A nest of deceitful scoundrels.

I got a text message today that looked like it came from NatWest. It inquired about an Apple transaction, which raised my suspicions and prompted me to check the phone number. Turned out, it was a scam! Please be cautious-don't call that number and share any personal information. I did reach out to NatWest directly, but to my surprise, they seemed rather indifferent to my concerns.

I received a message from NatWest suggesting that my card might have been misused at Apple with a hefty charge of £999. They wanted me to call a certain number. When I did, they requested my login details, but I wasn't comfortable sharing that information. I contacted NatWest directly afterwards and discovered it was a phishing attempt. Definitely beware of this kind of scam!

I dialled this number after getting a rather alarming text purportedly from Apple. What’s quite unsettling is that it appeared among my NatWest notifications, right alongside my routine balance alerts. Fortunately, I had mislaid my customer number, so I mentioned I’d ring back later. The person on the other end came across just like any average bank representative. Upon investigating online, I discovered that the numbers didn’t correspond at all. I reached out to NatWest regarding this, but they merely acknowledged it wasn’t them behind the message and didn’t collect any further information from me.

Take heed!
Received a message claiming to be from NatWest Bank, informing me that I've allegedly made a purchase of £999.00 through Apple Online Service.

No doubt about it-it's a blatant scam!
