Got a text saying I need to confirm a £4180 online payment with Halifax, asking me to reply Y or ring a certain number. I’m not even a Halifax customer, so it’s definitely a scam.

Just got a message saying “Do you authorise a Halifax payment of £3180? Reply Y if yes or ring 03330124793.”

Problem is, I don’t even use Halifax and defo don’t have that amount in my account. Total rubbish if you ask me.

Tried to buy stuff with a stolen credit card, so clearly some dodgy business going on. They were really smooth and seemed quite professional about it. Whatever you do, don’t send them anything or complete the sale.

This morning, I got a text saying someone had charged £999 on my bank card at the Apple Store and to ring the fraud department on the number given straight away. It even had the same reference number. I quickly checked online and saw the real NatWest fraud contact was nothing like that dodgy number. So, I didn’t bother calling them. These scammers have rang me before, once telling me my card was used to pay some Mrs something in Glasgow. When I said that wasn’t me, the caller tried to get me to share personal card details. I just told him to piss off and hung up. Later, I called NatWest to let them know, as they confirmed the suspicious calls weren’t from them.

I got a text too saying I tried to buy something from the Apple online shop for £999, with a reference like ap2873026. It asked me to ring a number. When I called my bank Natwest, they said they hadn't sent me any message like that. They told me to get in touch with their fraud department on 08000 289237. Seriously, don't phone the number in the text - it's dodgy.

Got a message from NatWest saying my Debit Card had been charged £999 at the Apple Online Store with ref AP2873026. They told me to ring Fraud Prevention straight away on 0330124793. I phoned right away, but then they asked for my online banking details and even my pin, which sounded off because I remembered NatWest saying they’d never ask for that. Luckily, I stumbled upon this site and realised straight away it was a scam from some nasty scammers.

Got a text earlier that seemed like it was from Natwest, but the number looked off. The message asked about some Apple purchase, which felt dodgy right away. Definitely a scam, so watch out and dont call them or share any info. I did call Natwest afterwards, but they weren’t very helpful or seemed bothered at all.

Got a message on my NatWest app saying there was a dodgy £999 charge on my Apple account and to call a number they gave. When I rang, they wanted me to share my login info but I said no. After ringing NatWest myself, turns out it was a total scam.

I called this number because I got a text saying it was from Apple. Weird thing is, it appeared in the group messages on my phone where I get regular Natwest account alerts. Thankfully, I couldn't remember my customer number offhand so I told them I'd ring back another time. The person sounded like a normal British bank worker, nothing odd. Later on, I looked it up online and the numbers didn’t line up. I did report it to Natwest but they just said it wasn’t them and didn’t ask me for any further info.
