Seriously, don't just pick up and then hang up right away. I was suspicious of the call being some kind of scam but decided to hear them out. Turns out, they ask for this code that O2 will actually send you. Once they have that, you're totally in trouble!

I had a feeling it was another spam call, so I thought I’d have a bit of fun with them. They started with the typical free upgrade pitch, then asked me what phone I had. I told her she ought to know, since it was them who sold it to me. She seemed a bit flustered, just kept repeating the same offer, then said she’d get her supervisor involved 😂 I told her no need, that it wasn’t going to work, and said I found it pretty nasty how she makes a living like that. Ended the call politely and blocked the number straight away.
