Had a few calls from them about getting a 3-year insurance deal for my Sky. I was about to go along with it until they started asking for my bank details. That’s when I just ended the call. Nearly fell for it, glad I spotted the red flag in time.

I got a call about my mum’s TV insurance being up for renewal, and they said they could offer a discount because of that. My mum said only the policyholder can talk about it, so I handed the phone over to her. As soon as she was on the line, the caller just hung up. I decided to call her back to ask why she did that, but she denied it and then started shouting at me, saying she didn’t have time for me to keep phoning her back - even though I was the one who returned the call. Then she just cut me off again. I suspected straight away it was a scam, but I wanted to humour her. Honestly, these people can be so bloody frustrating.

Someone rang me claiming I was on a Sky contract and offered to extend it for another three years at a cheaper price. They told me my current deal was £100.00 for the past year.
