Yeah, I have tried, but the police mostly just shrug it off saying it’s a civil issue because it involves contracts and consumer stuff. It’s a really rubbish approach considering how much these scams are getting worse. I almost fell for that Royal Mail missed delivery scam today, these people are proper dodgy.

Just to add, I once saw Sturgess get into a right scrap with a pretty drunk woman working there who got angry cause he interrupted her cheeky little sales pitch (more like a rip-off if you ask me).

Glad you decided to report it, that was definitely the right call. It’s worrying though if former staff or anyone with knowledge has stepped up and the Police didn’t seem keen to take action. Even if they see it as a civil issue, once they grasp what’s really going on, they’d have to see it as more than just that - this is plainly fraud.
Police

Honestly, I reckon a judge wouldn’t be too impressed with that kinda behaviour. Does the police get this kinda info? Loads of folks here seem to have either been tricked or worked there before and know what’s what. The stuff I’ve seen in the comments is pretty disturbing and if it’s true, those people ought to step up and tell the police what they know.
5 years
sturgess used to proudly talk about tricking old people out of their cash. he even told a story about fooling a 103-year-old and promised treats like sweets and cash to anyone else who could pull off the same stunt. he would imitate the victims’ voices and prance about in a grey wig shouting “buyer beware.” honestly, such awful behaviour!

Got a call from this number offering some sorta insurance for curtains and blinds. Had no idea that was even a thing. Ended up wasting their time, haha.

Insurance for curtains and blinds??? What’s next, eh!!! Looks like these muppets have run outta ideas and reckon ridiculous scams like this will actually work better.
5 years
I really hope someone called them out on that kind of behaviour.
5 years
One of my mates worked there straight after finishing school, and she said there was quite a bit of physical fighting at work, plus loads of sexual harassment going on. If you didn’t push bad sales onto vulnerable folks, you risked hefty punishments. People who didn’t hit targets sometimes even had their wages docked. It sounds proper grim, and they really ought to remember that paying employees in cash is illegal!
5 years
I’m with you on this, their behaviour is just awful. It’s shocking how they can take advantage of honest folks, particularly the elderly and those who are vulnerable, without feeling any guilt. It’s really disgusting, and if they had even a shred of decency, they’d know this is totally wrong and owe an apology to everyone they’ve caused pain to.
5 years
They're absolutely awful, actin like they’re too good for proper jobs or putting in real effort. They’re full of themselves, convinced they’re meant to run a business, but they haven’t got the brains, the skills or the common sense, so they end up trickin’ vulnerable people instead.
5 years
I wouldnt want anyone to have to deal with something that awful, but it’d be great if those dodgy people were caught and properly punished for their awful scams.

I think this number was once linked to an organisation named Tax Recovery Bureau, which no longer exists - seems like a typical council tax scam. Is it possible the same people are behind this number now, ringing up from the TPS to push a dodgy call blocking service?

What a bunch of muppets. There’s also this dodgy firm from Brighton named Repair and Assure, and I saw reviews from workers saying they actually supply drugs at work to keep staff ‘motivated’. Plus, they don’t bother with checking criminal records or if people can even legally work here. Honestly, the only kind of property these clowns should be linked with is some sort of basic flat in a low-security prison.

On some other boards, these muppets have been goin on like they’re well-known already and likely to end up on Love Island or somethin. They’re keen to get on the telly, but honestly, I reckon they’ll end up being called out and mocked rather than gettin any fame.

JUST IN - Repair & Assure Limited based in Brighton have been slapped with a £180,000 fine for breaking the rules by making unwanted calls, mainly to people signed up with the Telephone Preference Service without their permission. They must pay the fine by 25th February 2021. Hopefully this serves as a wake-up call to other firms still ignoring the law.

That doesn’t quite add up, Service Monkey actually applied to close down, so why would they need to make any improvements if they were planning to shut up shop? Seems to me the Authorities probably stopped the closure because of complaints from people about how Service Monkey was behaving.

These idiots clearly don't know anything about running a business. If they did, they’d have kept at least one company going strong for ages, but instead they keep shutting down loads of firms after barely trading. When a company gets closed after just a year or two and hasn’t even filed any accounts, it’s obvious it either went bust or was shady from the start.

Clearly these people are completely loopy and cant be trusted for a second. Some comments claim they’re legit, but others actually admit they’re scammers. It’s shocking how they can be so shameless, messing about with older and weaker folks for a laugh. Honestly, it’s disgusting behaviour and they should really feel guilty about it!!!

You’re just salty that you didn’t come up with it before us! We’ve even started our own bus company now, there’s really no stopping our business skills.

Typical UK scam, done the Service Monkey style, they just want your cash!

I really hope hes got the proper licence for this. What kinda scam is it exactly? Like, is he calling up old people saying their free bus pass has been cancelled and that they now gotta pay?

.and I guess all the loads of bad reviews here are made up as well!!! Absolute muppets.

Is his bum still as soft and young as I recall from those days in the bushes? He pleaded with me not to spill the beans since he’s got a girlfriend!

Just found out Rob Sturgess has turned into a bus driver now, haha!

apparently they joined up with Utility Cover ltd, which is run by Michaela Louise Mowlam - honestly, she’s known for being a total scammer, you better check her out!

I’m not really sure how shutting down the business and stopping all operations counts as giving a great service, particularly when they’ve already collected money from people???

I really can't see why people are leaving such negative reviews, from my experience the service was actually brilliant!

This is rubbish, we’re completely legit!

These so-called business folks act like total kids, posting immature and silly comments just to get on customers nerves. Honestly, they need to grow up and stop being so irritating. I’m curious if they’ll still be so cheeky when they’re facing legal trouble.

We tricked you lot and honestly had a blast, funniest thing is our boss Rob will bill you again and again, like a second, third, even fourth time once you've forgotten you already paid 😉 lol

Anyone posting on here saying they’ll never get caught is just scared deep down. Their big-headed attitude only makes them less smart, and being too relaxed is the main thing that will cause them to mess up.

Being arrogant usually comes from feeling unsure, scared or doubtful inside.

The funniest thing about these scams is how they always seem to get away without any trouble!

These childish comments, meant to mock customers, really show the kind of people behind these scams. They’re miserable folks who think they’re clever but actually add nothing positive to the world, lacking any sense of right or wrong, pulling off these scams just to feel better about themselves. Truly, very sad people.

Looks like they find jokes about the Parker Pen funny, but really they just say dumb stuff like that to poke fun at those they've conned. Honestly, they might as well keep hold of their Parker Pens - they could double up as a digging tool and spend the next decade tunnelling their way out of jail.

Maybe they should shove that so-called "free parker pen" they keep going on about up somewhere it really fits!

I wanted to chime in about the number 03330067350, associated with Prestige Equity Release and Yes Consumer Solutions. It raises a few eyebrows, doesn’t it? How can two separate entities share the same telephone line, operate from the same office space, and yet have different directors? It makes one wonder how they comply with GDPR and data protection regulations. Moreover, it’s rather concerning that they don’t seem to have official authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority to engage in equity release sales. Just something to ponder, really!

Brilliant, the more people involved the better. Haven't heard anything new about yes Consumer solutions yet, but I noticed they’ve got a different director now, Paul Elliot, though he and Sturgess seem linked. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see if anything else pops up.

Haha, I always assumed 'squeaky bum time' meant someone being really stressed out or nervous, maybe I got that totally wrong. When you said it only happens in America, what did you mean exactly? Am I just not seeing something really clear here?

Tried ringing Companies House today but their call centre was shut because of Coronavirus. So, I ended up sending them an email to oppose the application the Directors put in to shut down the company.
