Got a call from this number about some boiler stuff, sounded like a total scam to me. Definitely spam!

Somebody rang me saying they were from British Gas and wanted to send an energy adviser to help with my bills. I told them straight away I wasn’t interested. Instead of leaving it there, the person just launched into this long spiel about when would be a good time to arrange a visit. It didn’t sound like a normal sales call at all. When I said no again, the call went strangely silent for a bit before they started up with the same pitch about saving money. The whole thing felt very odd, like they were on autopilot or something.
