Got a call from someone saying they were with British Gas, trying to set up an appointment with an advisor within the next couple weeks. I said I wasn’t interested and they called back anyway. When I mentioned my current energy supplier, they just ended the call. Definitely spam.

Somebody named Sarah from the Housing repair lot rang me, but it was totally lifeless and robotic, like an AI. Curiously, why does BT let scammers use their numbers!? I don’t even rent a place or ask for any repair service. Definitely a scam as far as I’m concerned.

Got a call from some dodgy lot claiming they were from the council housing office, trying to scam me with repairs. Thing is, I don’t even rent my place, so clearly they're talking rubbish. I just played along for a good ten minutes, tying them up so they couldn't pester anyone else with their scam.

Got a call from some robot voice, so I just blocked the number. If it’s something serious or official, they’ll leave a voicemail, right? Seems pretty unprofessional not to bother. I never pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise anyway. I keep all the important contacts saved for work and personal stuff, so if your name isn’t in my phone, I’m not answering.

Felt like some kind of robot was speaking, honestly. The woman's voice was so mechanical, not at all like a real person. Pretty strange experience, to be honest.

I had a missed call from this number and decided to call it back, but it just sounded like it was coming from overseas. A woman answered but I couldn’t make out what she was saying at all. I asked her several times who she was and what she wanted, like six times, but she just wouldn’t reply. Fed up, I told her to bugger off and went ahead and blocked the number.
