It appears that I'm being plagued by an automated caller that seems to initiate a missed call just to see if my phone is active. If I do pick up, the line promptly disconnects, but they manage to confirm my number is indeed in service. Following that initial contact, I tend to get bombarded with a flurry of subsequent calls, albeit from differing numbers, though you can spot they're part of the same block code. My advice? Just don't engage or return the call, as it could result in extortionate charges! It seems to me that this entire scheme is designed to line the pockets of the caller. It’s infuriating, and I honestly wish the telecommunications companies would take it upon themselves to flag and eliminate these nuisance numbers automatically.
