She wouldn’t tell me her name, no matter how many times I asked. Claimed she was ringing about issues with my home. When I pressed for details, she mentioned something about dampness. Said she worked for social housing. Once I told her I’m a consultant surgeon and not in social housing, she just hung up without a word of apology for bothering me. At first, I figured they dialled the wrong number, but then I noticed it was 5:15pm on a Friday - no way a social housing office would still be open at that time!
