Got a ring from these folks earlier, I didn’t pick up and they didn’t drop a voicemail either, so it’s probably nothing important.

At first, the woman on the phone seemed really nice and friendly. But as soon as she finished the usual polite chit-chat and started talking about fixing things in my building, I noticed the voice sounded robotic and very artificial. It had that typical computerised tone, so I just ended the call. Usually, I don’t pick up calls from unknown numbers, but since my car needed servicing, I assumed it was the garage ringing to sort it out.

Got a call from an automated voice saying she was Sarah, wanting to talk about some housing repairs. Odd, since it rang a joinery and building firm - I'm pretty sure we don’t have any housing issues to fix here. And yet another number just barred from calling!

Got a call from this number around 11:44 in Yorkshire. My phone flagged it as possible spam, so I just let it ring out. Found this site and it helped me figure out it’s spam, so I’ve blocked it now. Cheers!

I missed the call and there wasn’t any voicemail left. This was from the East Midlands area.

At first I thought it might be legit, but it was one of those recorded messages. You could tell by the pauses before it answered back. I ended the call pretty quick, like in a few seconds. Just like others mentioned, it ended up being about social housing repairs.

Got a call from some stranger about housing issues, said Susan when I picked up, then they just dropped the line! Sounded like a well-spoken Brit though, but seemed a bit suspicious to me!

Picked up the phone and just after a beep, the other side hung up. Pretty sure it was some kind of spam call.

Avoid this one, it’s definitely a scam. Got an automated call claiming it's about housing repairs. Just spam, don’t bother answering.

I haven’t a clue who this might be, could very well be a fraudster, I reckon.

This number called me several times, promised stuff but it was just a big scam. Best thing to do is just block it and not answer.

Got a call with a robot voice saying, "hello, how are you today?" I just stayed quiet. Then it asked, "are you still there?" I replied with a no, and they just ended the call.

I answered with a simple "Hello?" then there was a short silence before a woman said, "This is Sarah from..." something I couldn't make out. I asked her to repeat her name, but after a pause, she didn’t respond to my question. Instead she just went on with, "I'm calling about your housing issue." Confused, I said, "I don’t have any housing problems... can you tell me your name again?" Then came another silence, before she just said, "Alright, thanks. Bye." So annoying!

Got a call from a home repair company, didn’t share any of my details, then asked them to remove my number from their list.

I picked up and said "Yes?" and the person started off with "Hi, how's your day going?" I wasn't in the mood so I just said "Good, thanks" but sounded a bit curt because I thought it was a dodgy call - plus I was busy at work and just wanted it over with. They claimed to be "Dave from the Council Maintenance Team about my housing issues" - I quickly replied "No, you've got the wrong person" and the line was cut on their end straight away. Probably no point as they've most likely shared my number with other scam callers, but I've blocked the number now anyway!

Tried calling and got some kind of automated voice that repeated questions about mold and cracks in the house no matter what I answered. It was like talking to a robot just going over the same thing about mould and cracks again and again.

Home repair calls are so weird, all they want is a simple yes or no to get going with their scams. If you say something like “yeah” or “nah,” it trips them up big time 🤣🤣😘😘

It was a call from someone named Sarah, or so the automated voice claimed. The message sounded quite genuine at first, and because I was dozing off, I didn't immediately spot the scam. I ended the call after answering three questions. They rang again shortly after, so I figured I'd humour them. When asked about any repairs, I jokingly said our roof was missing and the loo was just a bucket. After a brief silence, the recording said it would connect me further. Couldn’t help but chuckle before dropping the call.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be checking on a housing issue. When I asked what exactly was wrong, she just listed a bunch of typical home problems without any clear specifics. Then I asked which organisation she represented, and she said something about the Compliance Department for social tenants. I then asked where she got my mobile number from, and right after that she ended the call.

I received a call claiming to be from some housing disrepair department, but it’s odd since I don’t even live in a council property. The voice had that robotic tone to it, almost like it was pre-recorded rather than a genuine human being. Quite peculiar, really!
