I received a rather peculiar phone call from someone inquiring about my washing machine. This chap was keen on discussing the “renewal of my washing machine insurance warranty.” He took it a step further by requesting my banking details, but the moment I asked him to provide the make and model of my appliance, the conversation took a turn. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
