I answered the call, and it turned out to be about my washing machine. The caller had my name, exact street address, postcode, and even mentioned that my appliance was almost a decade old. He tried to tempt me with a limited-time offer for an extended warranty, insisting it was “only available today.” He then asked me to verify my house number, but I refused to share any information. I told him firmly that I wouldn’t be confirming anything and that he was just wasting both our time-no way I was going to be swayed. In the end, I simply hung up.
