Somebody rang up saying they were Sam, representing British Gas. Problem is, we don’t deal with them at all - we’ve been with another energy company for ages and get our boiler serviced independently. I told the caller I’d look up the number here and then hung up. If this was a genuine cold call from British Gas, they’re not winning any friends, especially after the relentless barrage of calls I’ve received lately. Every single one has turned out to be linked to dodgy energy scams. Honestly, it’s starting to feel like harassment with how often they keep ringing.
