2 monthsGot a call but no voicemail since my old answering machine doesn’t pick up unknown numbers. Missed it, so no clue who it was.2 yearsGot a call from this number claiming to be British Gas offering a home visit to help lower my energy bills. I said I’m with Scottish Gas and then they just hung up. Definitely sounds like a scam, watch out!British GasScottish Gas3 yearsGot a recorded message from some bloke called Mike, said he was returning my call about some issues with home repairs I apparently reported to a housing association. Thing is, I didn’t ring anyone like that since I actually own my house myself. Just ended the call straight away.Mike3 yearsGot a call from some English bloke trying to con my elderly Irish mum - absolutely vile. Planning to find out who he is and make sure he gets what’s coming to him for trying to scam her. Can't believe people stoop so low.3 yearsThis number just keeps calling me nonstop. Definitely a scammer.3 yearsI picked up a couple of calls from this number, but bizarrely, there was nothing but silence on the other end. When I tried to ring it back, I was met with a message saying the number was unavailable. Quite odd, isn't it?3 yearsLol, it's hilarious but not if you’re the one who ends up having their bank details nicked or getting scammed. I always make sure to report every suspicious call - to the police, those phishing fraud teams, even the financial watchdogs. Fingers crossed they actually do something about it!3 yearsCan’t believe there’s a good review here, that’s not what I expected at all!3 yearsBloody Pakistanis and Indians causing trouble again, just a bunch of sneaky thieves if you ask me.IndiaPakistan3 yearsComplete scam alert! They claimed to have recovered PPI compensation from my bank, saying I was owed £2550 plus £1550 interest. When I pretended my bank was called "Bank of Paris" (which doesn’t actually exist), they didn’t seem to notice or question it. They gave me some random reference and ID numbers, insisting they don’t ask for bank or card info, and mentioned the money was kept in a ‘wallet’. Then they passed me on to another guy with an Asian accent. He asked for the reference and ID numbers, which I deliberately mixed up. Clearly confused, he then asked for my phone number to verify these. Afterwards, he gave me new reference and ID numbers, different from the first set, saying mine were wrong. He reckoned I wasn’t familiar with tech and promised help accessing this wallet. Next, he told me to put my phone on loudspeaker and download an app called “AnyDesk” from the Play Store. That app would have given them remote access to my phone, letting them steal personal info, bank details, passwords and more. These con artists must be stopped! Make sure to report them to the police and the Financial Conduct Authority right away for phishing offences.Bank of ParisPlay StoreFinancial Conduct Authority3 yearsEvery time I pick up when this number rings, there's nothing but quiet on the other end.3 yearsSaw a missed call from a number I didn’t recognise and figured I’d ring it back.Submit Your Own Report (0331 630 1636)
